Electude and CCAR announced a new module concerning COVID-19 safety has been added to their E-Safety course. Designed for both students and teachers, coverage includes all basic steps needed to stay safe while working on motor vehicles during the pandemic.  

Electude International announced today that more than 1,500 new schools have signed up for its offer for automotive and heavy vehicle programs affected by COVID-19. The company is offering its educational and partner products to new users free of charge through August 1. In addition, Electude is offering unlimited expanded use of the same suite of solutions to its existing customers for the same period.

Electude USA announced today that the Commonwealth of Virginia has selected Electude's Automotive solution for the state's high school automotive curriculum. With this decision, Virginia has moved its automotive programs to the forefront of career and technical education.

Electude International and CCAR (The Coordinating Committee For Automotive Repair) are pleased to announce further expansion of the online E-Safety course suite, the automotive safety courses, assessments and credentials created by CCAR and available through Electude.

Expanded coverage adds new training modules including: First Aid and Emergency Eyewash; Safe Driving Essentials and Best Practices; Slips, Falls and Injury Avoidance; and GHS Hazcom. CCAR E-Safety is created in the Electude module lesson format, engaging students and offering formative assessment questions in order to progress. Each module is accompanied by a quiz and the entire course comes with a final examination. Students successfully completing the E-Safety modules are awarded a certificate of completion verifying their achievement.

Electude and CCAR will deliver safety training and credentials to automotive teachers and students via Electude’s award-winning online learning system.

CCAR is a non-profit organization with a singular focus on the automotive industry and its needs for safety and hazardous material compliance and training.  Founded in 1994 with grant funding from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), CCAR has been the designated EPA Compliance Center for the Automotive Industry for the past twenty-four years. CCAR is also one of the original OSHA Alliance partners and is the only OSHA Alliance partner focused on providing safety best practice information to the automotive collision and repair industries.  CCAR has twice been recognized by the ASE  Training Managers Council (ATMC) with their “National Excellence in Training” award and was chosen by the North American Hazmat Action Committee (NAAHAC) to develop hazardous material handling training courses.

A Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), located in Southport, North Carolina, EMI-Global has provided asset management and technician training to the trucking, construction, mining and oil and gas industries for over 20 years. Founder Richard LeFrancois currently serves as the Task Force Chairman for Virtual/Augmented Training within the Future Truck Committee of the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC). During a seven-year tenure as a technology consultant to the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company Fleet Operations, Fairbanks, Alaska, Mr. LeFrancois and EMI-Global was nominated, and the Alyeska Fleet won the prestigious AEMP (Association of Equipment Management Professionals) International “Fleet Masters” award in 2005.
